Learn to fly in sunny South Africa

When you learn to fly in South Africa you get the highest quality flying instructors and 'fun in the sun' weather all year round.

Ginny and Samantha of Learn to Fly makes all your arrangements including the flying school and quality accomodation. You will be met at Durban International Airport and driven to your guest house.

Next morning you will be introduced to your flying school. Your aviation medical will have been arranged, in advance, for the following day. We are here to assist you if you wish to hire a mobile phone, car or bicycle. If you need help, just give us a call.
Screechy-Fly.
Meet 'Screechy-Fly'
- the Learn to Fly mascot. Sceechy is an aptly named African Grey Parrot with great imitative abilities. When you phone Ginny, your are likely to hear him in the background.

Quality at Learn to Fly

The inclusive cost of a learn to fly PPL (Private Pilot Licence) package in Durban, including six weeks of excellent accommodation is approximately R65 000.

We also offer quality learn to fly packages for Commercial Pilot Licences and helicopter licences. We recommend Durban as the best venue - best flying schools, best weather, most fun - but also offer packages in Johannesburg, Cape Town and Pretoria.

Additional learn to fly bonuses

Durban is South Africa's premier holiday city and offers year round sunshine and the bikini beaches, fishing, scuba diving and snorkeling that go with our sub-tropical climate.

You can learn to scuba dive while you learn to fly. You can learn surfboard riding while you get your PPL. Go kite - boarding or play golf on your days off.

You can visit our fantastic game parks, like the Tembe Elephant Park, the Kruger National Park and the Umfolosi and Hluhluwe Rhino Game Reserves, in between the flying lessons.

And the magnifent Drakensberg Mountain Range offering climbing, hiking and trout fishing is less than two hours away.
